Research Associate 2 or 3 (based on experience), Research and Development
Reporting to the Associate Director, Research & DevelopmentKey Responsibilities
- Execute technical and non-technical assignments as instructed by team leaders.
- Prepare buffers and reagents; safely handle biohazardous materials.
Prepare buffers and reagents required for manufacturing-related operations - Operate complex laboratory equipment with minimal supervision.
- Maintain complete and accurate laboratory records in accordance with Prolytix policies and procedures.
- Assist with general laboratory supply inventory and ordering.
Education and Experience
- B.S. preferred in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field, plus 0-2 years of experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to work in a team and multi-task.
- Pipetting and liquid handling experience.
- Cross-functional experience working across departments in an organization.
- Good problem solving and reasoning ability.
- Must be able to read and understand technical documents including training documents, work instructions, safety protocols and quality manuals.
- Should be familiar with and understand the different types of Protein Chemistry techniques, such as protein concentration, chromatography columns, SDS-PAGE/Western blotting, ELISAs.
- A general understanding of basic biochemistry to include amino acids, protein and carbohydrate structure.
