Position Summary

As a Bartender, you are an integral member of our Food & Beverage team, working collaboratively to provide seamless, attentive service for both our exclusive summer private events and winter dining operations. Successful candidates will consistently demonstrate a welcoming demeanor in a guest-focused environment, thrive under pressure in fast-paced settings, and adapt seamlessly to changing service demands. The ideal bartender possesses strong interpersonal skills and a passion for building lasting relationships with our high-end clientele, ensuring each guest receives personalized, elevated service with every visit.

This is a seasonal full-time role starting at $8.75+, dependent on experience, tip eligible.

Essential Duties

  • Prepare and serve premium cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and service standards.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with members and repeat guests, recognizing preferences and anticipating needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked bar area in accordance with health, safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and communicate ordering needs to the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Assist with event setup, breakdown and other Food and Beverage operational needs, as required.
  • To understand and practice the serving of alcoholic beverages in accordance with Vermont State Liquor Laws.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation procedures; maintain facility cleanliness and organization of workstations.
  • Keep supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or situations needing immediate attention.
  • Promote a fair and harmonious work environment.
  • Uphold Stratton Mountain Club standards for appearance, service excellence and guest satisfaction at all times.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill And Ability Requirements

  • 2-year bartending experience in a fine dining food and beverage environment and/or high-volume location
  • Possesses a proficient knowledge of wine, beer & liquor quality. Background of inventory management, a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Certified to serve alcohol in accordance with Vermont State Liquor Laws.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to work flexible, on-call hours including nights and weekends.
  • Must be organized, be able to multitask and be able to make quick independent decisions.
  • Ability to remain calm during stressful situations and adapt well to many different situations and changes.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will be required to weekends and holidays.
