Minifactory (restaurant, bakery & grocery) homes Good Food and Award Winning V Smiley Preserves (jam company) in downtown Bristol, Vermont. This hybrid cafe, bakery, grocery and production model hums with daily activity. The kitchen is non-traditional and collaborative. We believe that kitchen work is exciting, meaningful, creative and a great fit for all kinds of folks.
We’re hiring a skilled, creative baker / pastry chef to helm the baking program location has homed a bakery for almost 5 decades and the community’s appreciation for pastry and baking is immense.
Our ideal candidate works independently but understands themselves to be a part of the V Smiley Preserves / Minifactory organization. You are the morning time lead in the space, setting the tone in the kitchen, greeting/checking in deliveries, keeping counter folks informed about menu, etc. You’ll step into a well- organized system built by a veteran pastry chef who is moving on after four years at Minifactory.
Compensation:
Wages are based off an hourly wage + tips.
Pay range is $58,/yr with a signing bonus of $2,000 (via 3 and 6 month interval).
