Food Service Supervisor - P&H - Seasonal Flex

Job Summary

Global Partners is looking for a Food Service Supervisor / Deli Lead. The Fresh Food Supervisor will direct and supervise all activities in the deli and food service department and its personnel to achieve merchandising, sales, and guest service goals.

• Direct department personnel to meet department goals and objectives.
• Communicate directly with store management and department supervisors.
• Select, onboard, and coach new team members.
• Schedule all team members.
• Offer product information, provide selling suggestions, active sampling, and thank customers.
• Take guest orders and ensure orders are completed on time to the guest’s satisfaction.
• Ensure department personnel follow all county, city, and company food safety and sanitation guidelines and policies.
• Order products and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels and merchandising standards.
• Oversee preparation and serving/merchandising of deli/food service items, including breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees, fried foods, pizzas, prepared salads, soups, sandwiches, roller grill items, hot and cold beverages, and snack items.
• Display deli and food service items following the department and company merchandising guidelines.
• Follow product recipes without deviation.
• Rotate deli/food service items ensuring quality, safety, and product shrink control.
• Receive merchandise for sale, audit invoices, break down orders, and position cases of product in storeroom or walk‑in coolers or freezers.
• Periodically count product for inventory purposes.
• Complete all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
• Process cash register transactions, give back change, and handle refunds.
• Use the scale printer machine to ensure weights and pricing are correct.
• Monitor product pricing, signage, placement, shelf tags, and shelf signage.
• Keep sales counters, food prep areas, warehouse shelving, and walk‑in coolers and freezers clean, neat, and orderly.
• Ensure all personnel use proper safety equipment and procedures.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned by management.
• Work with deli ingredients including various meats, vegetables, fruits, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• At least 2 years of prior experience in a fresh food environment, preferably in a managerial role.
• Reliable transportation and an active driver’s license.
• Serv Safe certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Willingness to work weekend, holiday, and/or evening shifts and assist other locations as needed.
• Ability to work in walk‑in coolers and freezers, stand for long periods, bend, twist below the waist, and frequently drive, lift, or maneuver merchandise and supplies.
• Dexterity to use equipment such as knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers, and rotisseries.

$18.00 – $21.66 per hour. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on experience, skills, and geographic location, and the company reserves the right to modify the base salary as outlined.
