Job Summary
Global Partners is looking for a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk to manage deli and food service daily operations, ensuring high sanitation, store appearance, and guest service.
Responsibilities- Process cash register transactions, give change and refunds, and operate registers, scales, scanners, and debit/credit terminals.
- Read UPC codes, product labels, shelf signage, register forms, and posted company policies and procedures.
- Prepare, wrap, box, weigh, slice, and stock deli and food service products while rotating them to maintain quality and safety.
- Operate scale printer machines, maintain accurate weights and pricing, and monitor product placement and signage.
- Prepare and cook deli items such as fried foods, salads, sandwiches, roller grill items, hot and cold beverages, prepared meals, and snack items for hot and cold cases.
- Work safely around sharp slicers, tools, ovens, and burners.
- Display products according to deli department and merchandising guidelines.
- Take guest orders and ensure they are completed on time and to the guest’s satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly checkout stand/sales counter and production areas.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 16 years of age; at least 2 years of food service or retail management experience.
- Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and evenings; available to assist other locations as needed.
- Active driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Serv Safe certification preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally; ability to stand for long periods, bend, twist, and reach above shoulder height.
- Physical ability to use knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers, and rotisseries (18+ years).
- Dexterity and hands/fingers capable of operating necessary equipment.
Pay range: $14.42 - $17.42 per hour.
