Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) assists the general manager with managing day‑to‑day store operations while adhering to Global Partner's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline.
  • Supervise, develop, train, and discipline non‑exempt (hourly) employees, holding them accountable for operational standards.
  • Monitor shift cash handling and inventory, assist in investigations of shortages/overages of $100 per month or less and inventory variations of .5% of sales or less.
  • Maintain business records, review cashier accountability sheets and other prescribed records.
  • Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties as requested, adhering to cash control policies.
  • Manage cash management procedures, including bank deposits and change orders.
  • Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards per Global Partner's store image standards.
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation, ensuring store is secure and safe.
  • Comply with all safety and environmental guidelines, report issues to proper authority and management.
  • Ensure adequate gasoline levels and coordinate gasoline deliveries.
  • Engage in company promotional initiatives and promote a high level of guest service.
  • Perform duties required by company policies and any other duties assigned by the General Manager or Territory Manager.

Job Description
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to communicate, count, read, and write accurately.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work in intermittent temperatures (outside, cooler, etc.).
  • Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and lift up to 25lbs during a shift.
  • Ability to access all areas of the store (selling floor, stock area, register area).
  • Minimum 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
