Food Service Associate - Jiffy Mart - Seasonal Flex

Job Summary

Global Partners is hiring a Food Service Associate / Deli Clerk. The Fresh Food Associate manages the store’s deli and food service daily operations, ensuring high levels of sanitation, store appearance and guest service.

• Process cash register transactions, give back change and refunds.
• Learn and use the register, scales, scanners, debit/credit terminals, UPC codes, store signage, and register keys and codes.
• Read UPC codes, product labels, shelf signage, register forms, and posted company policies/procedures.
• Work with deli ingredients including meats, vegetables, fruits, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces and oils.
• Use scale printer machines and ensure weights and pricing are correct.
• Monitor product pricing, signage, and placement, using product shelf tags and shelf signage.
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly check stand, sales counter and production areas.
• Prepare, wrap, box, weigh, slice and stock deli/food service products, rotating them as needed.
• Prepare and cook deli and food service items including fried foods, salads, sandwiches, roller grill items, hot and cold beverages, prepared meals and snack items for hot and cold cases.
• Work safely around sharp slicers, tools, hot ovens and burners.
• Display products according to deli department and merchandising guidelines.
• Take guest orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and to guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 16 years old.
• At least 2 years of food service or retail management experience.
• Fluency in weekend, holiday and evening shifts and willingness to assist other locations as needed.
• Reliable transportation and an active driver’s license.
• Serv Safe certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and work in walk‑in coolers and freezers.
• Stand for long periods, bend and twist below the waist, and frequently lift and/or maneuver merchandise and supplies, as well as reach above shoulder height.
• Dexterity to use knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers and rotisseries; use of knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers and rotisseries for 18+.

Pay range: $15.43 – $18.64 per hour. The final amount offered is based on experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location. The company reserves the right to modify the base salary at any time.
