Job Summary
Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is responsible for assisting the general manager with the management of day-to-day operations of the store, while adhering to Global Partner's policies and procedures. The ASM works to support customers, guests, communities, and each other.
Responsibilities- Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline.
- Supervise, develop, train and discipline non-exempt (hourly) employees, holding them accountable for operational standards.
- Monitor shift cash handling and inventory.
- Assist in investigations of shortages/overages of $100 per month or less and inventory variations of .5% of sales or less.
- Maintain business records, review cashier accountability sheets.
- Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties as requested.
- Manage cash management procedures including bank deposits and change orders.
- Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards and store image standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation, ensuring the store is secure and safe.
- Report issues to proper authority and management.
- Ensure adequate gasoline levels and coordinate gasoline deliveries.
- Engage in company promotional initiatives and promote high levels of guest service.
- Perform duties as required by company policies and procedures and any other duties assigned.
- Must be available to work flexible hours (day, night, weekend, holiday).
- 1-2 years supervisory experience.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to communicate, count, read, write accurately.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in intermittent temperatures, outside, cooler.
- Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to access all areas of the store.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
$18.59 - $21.80 (based on experience, knowledge, skills, location). The Company reserves right to modify base salary at any time.
