Produce Clerk; PT

Hourly Rate: $14.42–$18.00/hour

• Assume duties of other teammates when one is unavailable due to personal or work-related obligations, including any required training for the position covered.
• Assist the produce manager with ordering, receiving, unloading, storing, rotating merchandise, and building displays while exceeding health department and food safety standards.
• Maintain produce shelving and display units: clean, organize, tag, label, and rotate all products properly.
• Learn all aspects of the role and position yourself for increased responsibility.
• Keep produce display, prep, and storage areas clean and orderly.
• Assist with monthly department inventories as directed.
• Help customers with produce questions, special orders, and offer samples and suggestions in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Follow “COOL” (Country of Origin Labeling) guidelines and requirements.
• Trim, wash, bundle produce as needed.
• Dispose of unsellable items properly.
• Collaborate with the Produce Manager to research and improve under‑performing areas within the department.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, multi‑task, and maintain focus.
• Flexible schedule availability.
• Produce background preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.

• Work performed in a typical retail environment.
• Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs with a 20 – 40 lifting frequency.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in varying control climates.
• Use of machinery such as wrappers and box cutters.
