    Hourly wage, adjusted based on experience.
  • Benefits:
    Seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.

Job Summary:

We are looking for customer driven individuals that have broad product knowledge to answer questions and supply guests with accurate product information and help customers make decisions and find resolutions to their needs within the retail shop. The Retail Associate 2 will oversee the daily operations of a small shop/outlet and/or carry out the receiving of merchandise for a retail shop/outlet.

Summary of

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Protect company assets
  • Know and enforce safety program consistent with company guidelines
  • Be familiar with and knowledgeable of company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and oversee all daily operations of the assigned shop or department
  • Hold a key and perform opening and closing procedures of the store
  • Perform duties of a working supervisor for a staff of sales clerks:
    • assist in training new employees
    • plan, assign and monitor work
    • assist in handling customers with unusual problems or complaints
    • bring special personnel problems to the attention of supervisor, etc.
    • assist in planning staffing needs and schedules
  • Oversee/carry out daily mechanizing tasks including:
    • Restocking
    • Display design and setup
    • Inventory control
    • Reordering of stock etc.
  • Handle a variety of unusual or difficult customer service tasks such as:
    • Complaints
    • Returns
    • Shoplifters, etc.
  • Perform regular duties of a sales clerk:
    • Cashier duties (pos, credit card payments, merchandise returns)
    • Assist customers (locate products, answer questions, handle problems/complaints)
    • Check in and ticket merchandise
    • Oversee/carry out general shop cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • Stock/restock sale areas with merchandise
  • Organize stock room
  • Oversee work of student clerk
  • Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times Follow the Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with the guest and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Basic education (high school)
  • Two to four years of relevant sales experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must be able to stand for at least 7 hours

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Good, basic reading, writing and math skills
  • Familiarity with the specific type of merchandise sold in the shop desirable
  • Retail sales experience
  • Previous experience with soft goods or hard goods a plus, but not required
  • Must be guest service oriented
  • Ability to deal effectively and courteously with customers and other company personnel
  • Ability to train and coordinate/oversee the work of other employees
  • Clerical/administrative and supervisory skills; some previous supervisor experience desirable
