Location: Essex Junction

We’re partnering with a global technology leader in advanced communication and safety systems to recruit a remote Business Development Manager for the West Coast region
. This high-impact role focuses on accelerating market growth across states including California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado
.

You’ll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and driving revenue within commercial and government sectors. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional with a track record in technical or engineered solutions and the ability to navigate complex, consultative sales cycles.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Develop strategic sales plans to achieve regional growth targets.
  • Work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored technical and commercial solutions.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular market feedback.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in business development or sales within a technical, industrial, or communications sector.
  • Strong track record of driving sales growth and managing complex accounts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Based within the West Coast region.
Key Experience
  • Established relationships with Life Safety Providers, General Contractors, Fire Safety Professionals, and Industry Integrators.
  • Professional attitude and interest in technology-based solutions.
  • Strong background in solution sales and commercial skills.
  • Ability to build robust partnerships with current and prospective partners.
  • Demonstrated initiative and autonomy in developing a territory.
Skills
  • Energetic and committed, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, personable, with strong sales and negotiation ability.
  • Experience in B2B sales for technology businesses (RF/Wireless, IoT, Security & Safety solutions).
  • Adaptive and open to new ideas and projects.
  • Capable of working independently with a positive, proactive approach.
  • Proven experience managing channels and distribution partners in the region.
  • Strong organizational and listening abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and presentation software.
  • Experience with value-added technical products, ideally with a technical background.
  • Strong academic record, preferably a degree in business management, sales, or marketing.
  • Excellent commercial and negotiation skills.
