We’re partnering with a global technology leader in advanced communication and safety systems to recruit a remote Business Development Manager for the West Coast region
. This high-impact role focuses on accelerating market growth across states including California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado
.
You’ll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and driving revenue within commercial and government sectors. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional with a track record in technical or engineered solutions and the ability to navigate complex, consultative sales cycles.
Responsibilities- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Develop strategic sales plans to achieve regional growth targets.
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored technical and commercial solutions.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular market feedback.
- Proven experience in business development or sales within a technical, industrial, or communications sector.
- Strong track record of driving sales growth and managing complex accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Willingness to travel
- Based within the West Coast region.
- Established relationships with Life Safety Providers, General Contractors, Fire Safety Professionals, and Industry Integrators.
- Professional attitude and interest in technology-based solutions.
- Strong background in solution sales and commercial skills.
- Ability to build robust partnerships with current and prospective partners.
- Demonstrated initiative and autonomy in developing a territory.
- Energetic and committed, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, personable, with strong sales and negotiation ability.
- Experience in B2B sales for technology businesses (RF/Wireless, IoT, Security & Safety solutions).
- Adaptive and open to new ideas and projects.
- Capable of working independently with a positive, proactive approach.
- Proven experience managing channels and distribution partners in the region.
- Strong organizational and listening abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and presentation software.
- Experience with value-added technical products, ideally with a technical background.
- Strong academic record, preferably a degree in business management, sales, or marketing.
- Excellent commercial and negotiation skills.
- Strong commitment to company values.
- Effective closer and negotiator.
- Driven, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
- Results-oriented, with proven success in growing sales and fostering relationships.
- Willingness to travel extensively across up to 50% across West Coast territory.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Eligibility for Security Clearance is preferred.
