Host, Security, Security Officer

The Karr Group, Killington, Vermont’s largest hospitality management company, is seeking a Team Lead to join the security team at the legendary Pickle Barrel Nightclub
.

The Pickle Barrel is Killington’s go-to late-night destination, welcoming guests and musicians from around the world. As Team Lead, you’ll help oversee the nightclub Host/Security team while ensuring guests have a fun, safe, and memorable experience
.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong communication and leadership skills who is comfortable working in a busy nightlife environment and can confidently handle challenging situations.

The Team Lead helps oversee the Host/Security team during nightly operations and serves as a key point of contact for both employees and management.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and support the Host/Security team during nightly operations
• Help assign positions and coordinate team responsibilities
• Ensure guests are greeted and treated professionally
• Oversee proper age and identification checks
• Monitor the crowd and identify potential safety or security concerns
• Respond to guest issues and help de-escalate tense situations
• Address inappropriate guest behavior and assist with removing patrons when necessary
• Communicate incidents and concerns to management
• Ensure team members follow company policies, safety procedures, and hospitality standards
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment throughout the night
• Coach and support team members to promote a positive and professional work environment
• Serve as a leader and role model for the Host/Security team

• Previous leadership, security, hospitality, or nightlife experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident leadership style and ability to take initiative
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Strong conflict-resolution and de-escalation skills
