Green Heat VT is hiring a full-time HVAC Service Technician based in Jericho, Vermont. We’re a locally owned heating and cooling company serving homeowners throughout Chittenden County and surrounding communities including Essex, Essex Junction, Williston, Richmond, South Burlington, Shelburne, Colchester, Milton, Underhill, Westford, St. George, Hinesburg, and parts of Cambridge.

As a Mitsubishi Elite Diamond Dealer, Green Heat specializes in high-efficiency heat pumps, gas furnaces, boilers, air conditioning systems, and complete home comfort solutions. Our work is built around technical skill, honest recommendations, and a customer experience that gives homeowners confidence from the first conversation through installation and service.

We’re looking for a Service Technician who takes pride in doing the work right, communicates clearly with customers, and wants to be part of a team that shows up every day and handles things professionally.

This is a full-time, year-round position. No seasonal slowdowns, no winter-only work, no getting cut when things quiet down. Green Heat runs steady across heating, heat pump, and air conditioning services, which means your schedule and your paycheck stay consistent.

Our ideal candidate is a reliable and skilled technician with a strong work ethic, technical expertise, and excellent customer service skills. Below are the key qualifications and requirements for this role:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC installation and/or service.
• Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and installing high-efficiency gas heating systems and heat pumps.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration components in HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with residential and light commercial HVAC applications.
• Experience working with ductless mini-splits, gas boilers, furnaces, and water heaters.

• Natural Gas and/or Propane Gas Certification – Required for working on gas heating systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Punctual, dependable, and ready to work each day.
• Clean, professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions and physical environments.

• Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build customer trust and satisfaction.
• Willingness to answer customer questions and provide recommendations on system performance and maintenance.
