Pay Range: $26.00 - $36.00
Salary Interval: Hourly
Position SummaryThe working shop mechanic is responsible for performing duties related to routine maintenance and repair of heavy-duty trucks, construction, and asphalt equipment while operating machinery in a safe and responsible manner. This position supports fellow shop employees and is suitable for someone willing to learn and develop skillsets. Compensation is based on experience and ability to support and participate in operations.
EssentialFunctions
The physical demands described below represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands, reach with hands and arms, handle, see, feel, talk, listen and smell. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Performs work independently within the scope of established guidelines and practices. Consults with Manager where clarification or exception to procedure may be required.
