Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician

We are recruiting a technician to support and oversee repair of Walmart facility refrigeration HVAC equipment. The role involves maintaining and repairing refrigeration equipment, using hand, digital, and power tools, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to Walmart’s safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights frequently.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Effective state‑issued driver’s license with a clean record and ability to pass a MVR report.
• Minimum age 18 with high school diploma or equivalent.
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience (preferred).

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city or state where the job is located.
• 4 years of mechanical maintenance or construction‑related experience in commercial HVAC/R.
