Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration

Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets
Use commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders supporting stores and store associates
Document repair activities
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, Walmart safety policies, and environmental guidelines
Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights frequently

• At least 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience
• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification plus 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related commercial HVAC/R and building controls; or 4 years of relevant experience
• Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling
• HVAC‑R/mechanical journeyman qualification where required
• Valid state‑issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
• Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last five years
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
• No serious traffic violations under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations in the last three years
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to move up and down ladders and work at heights frequently
  
  Ability to comply with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart safety and environmental guidelines
• Drug‑free workplace and compliance with Walmart's no‑tolerance policy regarding illegal drugs and alcohol on the job

Demonstrates expertise in commercial HVAC and refrigeration maintenance, including compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. Proficient in using hand tools, digital tools, and power tools for effective repair and maintenance of facility equipment.
