Job DescriptionEsteemed opportunity for a Speech and Language Pathologist to join Essex Elementary School (grade K-2) and Founders Memorial School (grades 3-5) beginning the 2026/2027 school year. The role involves directing services and developing instruction for children with developmental delays, autism, and other disability areas in inclusive small group and one‑on‑one settings; evaluating speech and language; and case management aligned with state guidelines.
A temporary one‑year contract is offered, with the expectation that the position may continue into the subsequent year. Selected candidates will need to reapply for consideration.

Responsibilities- Direct services and develop instruction for children with developmental delays, autism, and other disabilities in inclusive small group and one‑on‑one settings.
- Evaluate speech and language needs and provide appropriate interventions.
- Manage cases in alignment with state and district policies.
- Hold or be eligible to hold a valid VT Educator license with a Speech Language Pathologist endorsement (0‑84).
- Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech‑Language Pathology.
- Experience working with elementary school‑aged youth is strongly desired.
- Excellent teaching, organizational, planning, written and oral communication, and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to the success of all students and ability to understand and support diverse learning styles.
- Ability to effectively engage students at the elementary school level.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the student population served and use this knowledge to design and deliver instruction.
