We areseekingto recruit a proactive and strategic Community Safety Officer to play a crucial role in developing and implementing community safety strategies and initiatives across the City of London to join our Community Safety Team. The Cityenjoys a reputation as a safe place to live, work and visit; this is, in part, due to thehard workof the Safer City Partnership (the Community Safety Partnership for the City of London).
By working closely with our partner agencies,businesses and residents we aim to create andmaintaina safe environment for all.
As a Community Safety Officer, you will havestrongknowledge of current crime and disorder issues and approaches to deliver effective responses to these.
Being part of a small team, youwill work acrossa number ofareas so experience or understanding of issues including:
Domestic Abuse, Prevent Channel Panel and anti-socialbehaviourwill all be valuable.
Your work will support the Community Safety Manager and the wider Partnership in the coordination of responses to a wide range of issues involved in helping keep the city safe. You will be organised with an outcome focused approach to ensure the most appropriate resourcesareutilisedto tackle and reduce crime.
To be successful in thisroleyou will need toanalysecomplex information, evaluateprojectsand present progress reports. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
In thisroleyou will alsohave the opportunity to contribute to the development of new policies and initiatives.
You willrepresentthe team at various partnership meetings
- contributing to developing partnership solutions. If you are a confident negotiator with excellent problem solving skills and are passionate about helping reduce crime, anti-socialbehaviourand the fear ofcrimethis could be the role for you.
You will be IT literate with experience of preparing reports and action plans. Your administrative support will bedeterminedby the projects and meetings. Confidentiality will be expected when sharing complex and sensitive information.
