About the Role:

VGA is searching for an individual to learn, grow and contribute to our customer‑centric culture in this newly created role. This is an exciting time to join the VGA as we continue to expand and strengthen our team and strategic efforts to advance growth, engagement and services for our Members and Member Clubs.
Responsibilities
Position Summary:
- Assist in the delivery and coordination of Member Services programs and services by providing exceptional inbound customer support.
- Assists with administration of the Course Rating
- Supports Member Services programs in the areas of tournaments and events, membership growth and data management.
- Support the roles and duties of the VGA Scholarship Program
- Provides golfer, Member and Member Club support for GHIN® (Golf Handicap Information Network), WHS™ (World Handicap System), Online Join/Renew, Youth On Course, Student Member program. Partners with the Senior Manager of GHIN Services to deliver a strategy for managing and successfully advancing all inbound customer support opportunities. This role will also include providing Golf Genius support in the future.
- Reviews field collected course rating data for accuracy and enters data for the USGA® Course Rating System platform.
- Conducts on‑site preliminary course ratings with the Manager of Course Rating &
- Prospects a variety of resources to identify leads for new members and new affiliate member clubs.
- As directed, conducts data collection, entry, management and organization. Produces routine and ad‑hoc reports and analysis.
- Provides game day support for Member Services tournaments and events as
- Support the daily duties of the VGA Scholarship program such as donor letters, bag tags, scholarship scramble set up and website support.
Skills:
- Experience with Hub Spot (or similar CRM), GHIN, WHS and Golf Genius, is preferred but not
- A working knowledge of advanced Excel and MS Office products is Experience with Adobe suite and Tableau is helpful.
- Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
- College degree
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and strong aptitude for advancing skills in new areas.
- Knowledge of and interest in golf as a participant or previous experience in the golf industry is preferred, but not required.
- Routinely displays a proactive approach and takes initiative with reliability in independent follow through.
- Strong multitasking skills and time management strategies, with the proven ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Valid driver s license and reliable transportation with the ability to travel throughout the state as needed.
