Position: Shuttle Driver (Full & Part Time)
Location: Jeffersonville

Transportation Shuttle Driver

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Transportation Shuttle Driver to join our team at Smugglers’ Notch Resort. This role is essential in providing safe, efficient, and courteous transportation for guests and employees throughout the resort property. The ideal candidate is a responsible driver with a positive attitude and strong customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

Shuttle Operations

  • Operate resort shuttle vehicles safely and responsibly in all weather and traffic conditions.
  • Transport guests to and from resort amenities, lodging, parking areas, and event locations by utilizing our Downtowner digital dispatching system.
  • Provide scheduled employee transportation to/from designated pickup and drop-off locations.

Customer Service

  • Greet all passengers warmly, answer questions about the resort, and provide general information.
  • Assist guests with boarding, luggage, and accessibility needs in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintain a welcoming and clean shuttle environment.
  • Maintain attitude consistent with our “We Want You Back” and “Guest of One” philosophies.

Safety & Compliance

  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the Transportation Manager promptly.
  • Follow all local, state, and resort traffic laws and policies, including defensive driving techniques.

Maintenance Support

  • Refuel, clean, and perform light maintenance duties (e.g., checking fluid levels, tire pressure).
  • Ensure vehicles are stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., maps, safety kits, cleaning products).
  • Coordinate with the Transportation Manager and/or Fleet Manager for scheduled inspections or repairs.

Administrative

  • Log daily mileage, passenger counts, and operational notes as required.
  • Attend safety meetings, training sessions, and resort briefings.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record with no recent violations.
  • Previous experience driving passenger shuttles, buses, or vans preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist guests with luggage or mobility aids.
