Using dynamic route descriptions, this role delivers packages on Sundays and observed holidays. The carrier may also case, deliver, and collect mail and packages on Saturdays along a prescribed rural route using a vehicle.
Scheduled Days:
Saturday, Sunday, and holidays observed by the USPS on an as needed basis.

Driving Required:
Applicants should have a valid state driver's license, a safe driving record and at least two years of unsupervised experience driving passenger cars or larger in the U.S. or its possessions or territories or in U.S. military installations worldwide. A personal vehicle suitable for use may be required for this position.
Salary Range:
$20.38 per hour paid bi‑weekly.
Functional Purpose:
Using dynamic route descriptions, deliver packages on Sundays and observed holidays. May case, deliver, and collect mail and packages on Saturday along a prescribed rural route using a vehicle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load packages into the vehicle in delivery sequence.
- Deliver packages to customers along a prescribed route.
- Sort mail in delivery sequence for the assigned route.
- Receive and sign for accountable mail.
- Load mail and packages into the vehicle.
- Deliver mail and packages to customers along a prescribed route or as an auxiliary assistant by vehicle; collect monies and receipts for accountable mail; pick up mail from customers’ roadside boxes.
- Furnish routine information concerning postal matters to customers.
- Return mail collected, undeliverable mail, and submit monies and receipts to post office.
- Prepare appropriate time records.
- Provide for mail security at all times.
- May be required to provide a vehicle for delivery if an employer‑provided vehicle is not assigned.
- Available for required training on weekdays during onboarding.

- Non‑career employee (ARC) willing to provide customers along a rural route services, including delivering and collecting mail.
- Desirable candidates may be required to have a vehicle suitable for use and live within easy commuting distance of the facility location.
- If required to provide own vehicle, ARC will receive an Equipment Maintenance Allowance (EMA).
- Must meet medical suitability, general eligibility and a satisfactory background check.
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Carriers may be required to load and unload trays and containers of mail and parcels weighing as much as 70 pounds.
