Job Summary

Parcel carrier (ARC) delivering postal packages on Saturdays, Sundays and holiday routes in rural areas.

Saturday, Sunday and USPS‑observed holidays. Hours vary; onboarding requires weekday availability for training.

Valid state driver’s license, safe driving record, at least two years of unsupervised driving of passenger cars or larger. A personal vehicle suitable for use may be required. If personal vehicle is used, an Equipment Maintenance Allowance (EMA) is provided.

USD 20.38 per hour, paid bi‑weekly.

• Load packages in delivery sequence into vehicle.
• Deliver packages to customers along prescribed route.
• Sort mail in delivery sequence for assigned route.
• Receive and sign for accountable mail.
• Deliver mail and packages to customers along prescribed route or as auxiliary assistant on a vehicle, collecting monies and receipts for accountable mail.
• Pick up mail from customers’ roadside boxes.
• Provide routine information on postal matters to customers.
• Return collected mail, undeliverable mail, and submit monies & receipts to post office.
• Prepare appropriate time records.
• Ensure mail security at all times.
• May be required to provide vehicle if employer‑provided vehicle is not assigned.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Load and unload trays and containers weighing up to 70 pounds.

ARCs are non‑career employees who deliver and collect mail along rural routes. Preferred candidates may have personal vehicle and reside within easy commuting distance.
