The Distribution Center Associate II is a second-shift (3pm – 10pm) position responsible for receiving merchandise, unloading or unpacking it, stocking shelves, preparing deliveries, and transporting products throughout the resort. This position performs all Distribution Center Associate responsibilities and operates both a box truck and a snow tractor/groomer to transport food, beverage, retail products, supplies, trash, and staff to on-mountain and off-premise locations.
The Associate II completes evening deliveries to base lodges and other assigned outlets and is responsible for putting away, rotating, and organizing delivered products in each designated storage area.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform all responsibilities assigned to the Distribution Center Associate position
- Safely operate a snow tractor/groomer without direct supervision to transport staff, products, supplies, and trash to and from on-mountain business units
- Safely operate a box truck for scheduled deliveries and pickups throughout the resort
- Complete scheduled second-shift and evening deliveries to base lodges, on-mountain restaurants, and other assigned resort locations
- Unload, put away, rotate, and organize all delivered food, beverage, retail products, and supplies in the correct storage areas at each location
- Confirm that deliveries are complete and communicate shortages, damages, access issues, or other discrepancies to the supervisor
- Coordinate with Mountain Operations regarding snow travel, route conditions, access, and operational restrictions
- Check fluids, fuel levels, safety equipment, and general operating condition of the snow tractor/groomer and box truck before use
- Report equipment concerns promptly and complete required vehicle and equipment documentation
- Accept delivered packages and verify that quantities and products received are correct
- Unload merchandise and organize incoming products in the appropriate storage areas
- Stock shelves with received products and rotate stock properly and effectively
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs or discrepancies to the supervisor
- Pick, prepare, pack, label, and stage food, beverage, retail products, and supplies for transport
- Operate a pallet jack and other approved equipment to lift and move products safely
- Transport food, beverage, retail products, supplies, trash, and staff as assigned
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the distribution center, loading dock, vehicles, storage areas, and assigned base-lodge storage locations
- Maintain the integrity of food storage areas and follow applicable food-safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensure equipment and supplies are maintained in good, clean, and safe operating condition
- Shovel snow and maintain safe access to walkways, loading areas, and delivery points as needed
- Provide superior service to internal and external customers at all times
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, resort departments, vendors, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve problems
- Assist other areas of the resort as needed during peak and holiday periods
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a valid driver's license and meet company driving requirements
- Must have a basic education (high school), plus one or more years of relevant work experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired
- Previous experience operating trucks, snow tractors, groomers, or other heavy equipment preferred
