Project Manager, Procurement ​/ Purchasing

Local Electric is looking for a highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our growing team in Morrisville, Vermont.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who can step into a fast-moving company, learn our systems quickly, communicate clearly, and help manage electrical projects from start to finish.

The right person may already have experience in electrical project management, construction management, estimating, operations, or a similar leadership role. Electrical experience is preferred, but strong project management skills, excellent computer ability, and the drive to learn quickly are just as important.

• Manage projects from planning through completion.
• Work with customers, builders, general contractors, vendors, electricians, and apprentices.
• Review plans, estimates, schedules, material needs, change orders, and project details.
• Help coordinate manpower, material, equipment, and project timelines.
• Keep jobs organized, profitable, and moving forward.
• Communicate clearly with both the office and field teams.
• Use company software daily for scheduling, documentation, communication, job costing, and project tracking.
• Help improve systems, processes, and standards as the company continues to grow.

• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn software quickly.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities at once.
• Professional communication skills.
• Experience in project management, construction management, estimating, operations, or electrical work.
• Ability to read plans and understand project scope.
• Comfortable working with schedules, budgets, change orders, and job costing.
• Calm under pressure and able to solve problems.
• Strong follow-through, attention to detail, and willingness to take ownership.
• College degree in business, construction management, engineering, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
