Lyndon Town School, serving children in PreK-8, announces the hiring of a Middle School Mathematics teacher for Grade 6. The role focuses on dynamic, high‑quality instruction within a high‑energy, collaborative school culture. Candidates will deliver mathematics using the Open Up Resources curriculum (OUR) with a workshop model and Common Core standards. Relationships with students and collaborative teamwork with the sixth‑grade faculty and the broader middle‑school math team are priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering middle‑grade mathematics instruction (5‑9 or 7‑12 endorsement preferred).
• Implementing evidence‑based math strategies, workshop models, formative assessment, positive behavior interventions, and Developmental Designs.
• Collaborating with colleagues to support high levels of student achievement.
• Engaging in mentorship opportunities and supportive administration practices.

The district offers a supportive environment within a vibrant community, with strong connections to the region’s outdoor and cultural resources.

• Eligible for a Vermont educators license (or currently holding one).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• U.S. citizenship or appropriate work authorization.
