Hours:
10am- 6:30pm (M-F), & 1 Teen Night a month 6p- 8pm. Onsite, 40 hours per week
Under the supervision of the CEO or his/her designees, this position is responsible for researching, planning, developing and implementing age-appropriate activities for club members from 4th–12th grade; creates and maintains a safe environment; and fosters positive relationships with club members.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY- Hire, train and be a motivating mentor to program staff.
- Develop a monthly calendar of events that is engaging for all ages of youth served to increase awareness and visibility of the organization through media relations, social media, publications, web-based activities, events, and other communications opportunities.
- Write articles for newsletter and snippets of activities for Social Media Post.
- Ability to manage youth in a Club setting.
- Update membership information in our Vision software.
- Ensuring that all kids are met where they’re at with a DEI lens of inclusion.
- Complete work in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are met.
- Work within the constraints of a Program budget.
- Completion of BGCA mandatory trainings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Internal:
Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteers), Club youth, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
External:
Maintain a good reputation and moral conduct outside of work, in the community and on social media networks.
This position may involve lifting, bending, standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, reaching, and grasping. Must be able to demonstrate and/or describe activities to youth. This position works around youth and adults with a moderate exposure to noise. This position will work both indoors and outdoors.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE (Desired and/or required)- Minimum one year in a management role; managing people.
- Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- A minimum of two year’s work experience working with youth.
- Team minded individual who fosters a collaborative work environment.
- Demonstrated organizational, and project management capabilities.
- Mandatory First aid and CPR certifications (within 6 months of hire).
- Must pass a National criminal background check/ Fingerprinting as a condition of employment.

Under the supervision of the Club Program Director or his/her designees, a Program Assistants support and supervise programs and activities in structured program spaces.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITYPrepare Youth for Success
- Creates and leads planned activities and events for club members.
- Provide guidance and role modeling to youth.
Supervision & Safety
- Monitor youth while in unstructured program areas.
- Assist and support Program Leads in program implementation and supervision.
- Maintain a safe environment through clear rules and expectations.
Additional Responsibilities
- May be required to participate in special events.
- May be required to supervise during off-site field trips.
- Other duties as assigned.
