Summary
Looking for people interested in substituting in a well-established early childhood program. Must be willing to complete a few online workshops, get an online certification in CPR/Basic First Aid, and pass a background check – to include fingerprinting.
Duties- Assist the classroom teacher in implementing the planned activities for the day
- Assist the classroom teacher in keeping the classroom clean, tidy, and organized
- Assist the classroom teacher in keeping all students safe and happy
- Be able to come in on short notice when staff calls out
- Be flexible with your work schedule
- Love working with young children ages 18 months to 5 years old
- Be able to interact with young children in a patient, loving, positive manner
The Lawrence School for Young Children is a 5‑star early childhood facility (in Vermont's STARS program) serving up to forty 0‑5‑year‑olds each day for the past 40 years in the Manchester/Dorset area. All of our staff are college graduates; two are licensed early childhood educators through the VT DOE. LSYC also participates in the state's UPK program, offering free preschool hours for all 3‑4‑year‑olds.
