Childcare Director

Job Description

Childcare Director for a center with 41 children. Must meet Vermont State childcare licensing regulations for center‑based care, including an associate’s degree in early childhood education, business courses, and state‑mandated training. Responsibilities include opening and closing the building, managing day‑to‑day operations, scheduling up to 12 staff members, ensuring staff breaks, collaborating with families, and following state regulations and center policies. Experience with CIS (child integrated services) and positive, encouraging leadership skills are required.

• Vermont Early Childhood and After school Program Director certification (or one certificate).
• Successful completion of a 3‑credit course in program management for early care and education or school‑age care and education, or staff supervision related to early care and education, and a 3‑credit course in curriculum.
• CPR/first aid certification.
• Mandated reporter status.
• 9‑hour Vermont orientation completion.
• Medication administration training.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience (preferred).
• Undergraduate certificate degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

Full‑time. Starting date:
