Job Description

The Kingdom East School District, Student Services, is seeking an Intensive Instructional Assistant (IIA) assigned to work at the Concord School KEAP program. Required hours are 3:00-5:00 pm Monday through Thursday during the school year, 12:00-3:00 pm on some Fridays, with additional hours available upon request. The IIA’s purpose is to develop and interpret individual student needs by creating and implementing behavior and/or instructional support programs in collaboration with KEAP staff and school staff.

The candidate will receive training in Handle With Care and must be able to physically join all activities the assigned student participates in. Candidates must successfully complete the Para Pro assessment or hold an associate’s degree or higher. IIAs provide observable student data aligned with program goals for students with early childhood, developmental delays, and other special needs. The position targets goal‑directive services to assist students in accessing instruction in a developmentally appropriate, functional, and independent manner.

Background check, including fingerprinting, is required upon employment.

Job Requirements
  • High school or trade school degree preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
  • Successful completion of Para Pro assessment or an associate’s degree or higher.
  • Background check with fingerprinting.
