Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including parents, teachers, and therapists, to create a nurturing learning environment.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate individual learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress and make necessary adjustments to instructional strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field).
- Active/Valid state teaching certification/license in Special Education in VT.
- Prior experience working with students with special needs (preferred) in a life skills teaching.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
