Coding Auditor Educator

• Conduct audits and provide reports on documentation, coding, and billing across employer entities
• Develop and deliver training programs to address deficiencies identified in audits
• Validate coding systems and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Create and monitor inpatient case mix reports to identify trends and variations
• Review medical information and classify it into appropriate coding for diagnoses and procedures

• High school diploma or GED
• Certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
• AHIMA Credentials:
  Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
• AAPC Credentials:
  Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), or Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with hospital or physician coding and/or auditing, including education techniques

• Associate's Degree
• 3 years of experience in claims processing and data management
• Strong background in auditing and education/training in coding and reimbursement
