Spa HousepersonThe Spa Houseperson is responsible for deep cleaning spa and outdoor pool areas, keeping them neat, clean, and well‑stocked with amenities.
Examples of Duties- Be on time and flexible with the schedule to meet spa needs.
- Clean treatment rooms and public spaces using vacuum, broom, cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and cleaning agents.
- Empty trash, wipe down trash cans as needed.
- Pick up and restock towels; straighten chairs in indoor and outdoor pool areas.
- Break down coffee and water stations after closure of spa and fitness center.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized spa environment through consistent monitoring.
- Clean steam rooms and saunas nightly.
- Engage with guests, actively promote spa services, retail, programs, and promotions.
- Communicate incidents involving staff or guests to management.
- Provide accurate, appropriate, immediate responses to all guest requests to ensure satisfaction.
- Work independently without direct supervision.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a quality work environment.
- Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
- Adhere to personal appearance and grooming standards consistent with company policy.
- Effective communication, presenting information and responding to questions from managers, employees, members, and the public.
- Oral comprehension: ability to listen and understand spoken information.
- Knowledge of customer service principles, needs assessment, quality standards, and satisfaction evaluation.
- Customer focus: develop and sustain productive relationships and actively seek information to address needs.
- High work standards: set high performance standards and assume accountability for assignments with attention to detail.
- Problem solving and decision making: identify issues, use effective approaches, and develop solutions.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- Previous housekeeping or professional cleaning experience.
- Minimum one year of customer service experience in a high‑end fitness center or luxury spa (a plus).
- Excellent personal appearance, strong communication skills, friendly and congenial personality.
- Ability to work in a high‑volume, busy environment while maintaining composure and guest focus.
- Consistently stand, walk, squat, use hands to write, talk, hear, see, taste, and smell during duties.
- Regularly lift or move at least 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities: distance and peripheral vision required.
- Regular attendance in conformance with standards established from time to time.
- Due to the cyclical nature of hospitality, work schedule may vary to meet business needs.
Pay Rate: $20 to $22.00 per hour
