Join a dynamic healthcare IT support team as a Travel Technician, providing on-site technical assistance across clinical affiliates, medical practices, and urgent care centers in Vermont and beyond. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment supporting networked and stand-alone devices, ensuring seamless clinical operations through proactive hardware and software support.
Responsibilities- Provides break/fix technical support for networked and stand-alone managed devices to meet established service level agreements.
- Prioritizes support issues based on urgency and escalates unresolved problems to appropriate teams.
- Performs setup and configuration of network devices using standard operating systems, EPIC, or other tools in compliance with organizational standards.
- Participates in large hardware deployment projects, including equipment moves and operating system rollouts.
- Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance on desktops and laptops, including re-imaging operating systems, data backup and restoration, hardware cleaning, and replacement of broken or out-of-warranty components.
- Documents all work performed within ticketing systems such as Service Now, utilizing knowledge base articles to resolve issues efficiently.
- Collaborates with IS Support Services teams to triage and resolve network and computer issues.
- One year of experience in a customer service-focused environment, preferably in healthcare.
- One year of hands-on experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and repair of workstations, laptops, and printers.
- Working knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems.
- Skilled in supporting HP and Dell desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral hardware components.
- Ability to work on-site in Burlington, VT.
- Valid work authorization and W-2 employment status.
- Certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, or ITIL are a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome.
- Familiarity with security and management tools like Windows Defender, Fore Scout NAC, Microsoft LAPS, USMT, SCCM, and Citrix Xen App.
- Strong commitment to delivering superior customer service and adhering to department standards and processes.
