Sander

Team members in these woodworking jobs work with other members of our finishing team to complete our production process, with an emphasis on cutting boards, serving implements, and other utensils. Starting with rough wood products, the Sander shapes and smooths them to their final form and texture. Sanding is a critical part of this process, requiring efficient and safe use of equipment to achieve precise quality standards.

Sanders must apply attention to detail and high aesthetic standards. The finishing team is responsible for setting up and troubleshooting finishing equipment. The team also takes on a range of product repairs and refinishing tasks.

We also seek to cross train everyone in different areas of the shop. Over your first few months, you will be working with various woodworking equipment throughout our production process.

• Education and Experience:
  
  both are helpful but neither are required - we train on the job.
• Be ready to learn and constantly improve.
• Be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe operating practices.
• Previous woodworking/logging experience is not necessary. We will train the right candidate!
• Work Environment:
  This position is in a manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, loud noise, and varying temperatures.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18 - $22 per hour
