CNC Machine Operator
MMG machine operators produce a variety of precision metal parts primarily from Aluminum, Steel, Brass, and Copper, using computer numerically‑controlled (CNC) machine tools such as Vertical and Horizontal Milling Machines as well as Conventional, Multi‑Op and Swiss Style Lathes.
Key Responsibilities- Review blueprints and/or written specifications for a job.
- Write programs and apply machine tool math.
- Understand and monitor the feed rate and speed of the machine.
- Set‑up controls and make the cuts to produce machined parts.
- Ensure the machine is working properly through standard preventative maintenance procedures.
- Make certain the machine is properly feeding, cutting, cooling and lubricating parts while operating.
- Utilize specialized inspection tools to check tolerances.
- Understand and maintain QC procedures.
- Work within a visual Lean Manufacturing Environment/System; maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Understand and follow all ISO procedures.
- Follow procedures and execute tasks assigned by the Team Leader.
- Comply with all company code of conduct, safety and procedural rules and regulations.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Standing and walking 100% of the time; lifting, reaching, and repetitive motion required.
- Use of hand tools and power tools required.
- Clear, close vision for inspection of parts required.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds required.
- Ability to work in a safe and reliable manner.
- Team‑player mindset required.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Stand, sit, bend and kneel without difficulty.
- Repeatedly lift/pull/push up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to loud noises.
- Work in the presence of forklift trucks and other manufacturing machinery.
- Lift 50 pounds independently.
Compensation details: $18–38.33 hourly wage.
