Conservation Manager

Northern Rivers Land Trust is hiring a Conservation Manager to support protecting land in Northern Vermont. NRLT is seeking a candidate interested in land protection, with strong organization and communication skills, who works collaboratively with partners and team members, can research and problem solve independently, and is motivated to learn and grow with a small non-profit serving the Vermont communities of Albany, Craftsbury, Greensboro, Hardwick, Walden, Wolcott, and Woodbury.

The Conservation Manager will be NRLT’s first paid staff member since its incorporation in 2006 and will be the primary manager for administration, grants, fundraising, and records management, with increasing leadership roles across land conservation, stewardship, and project management as knowledge and skills allow. A high-functioning board of volunteer Trustees will support, supervise, collaborate, and direct the Conservation Manager’s work, with the goal of growing the position in scope, hours, and responsibilities over time.
