The Landscape Technician will work as part of a professional team to build and shape landscapes through plant installation, gardening, and equipment operation while ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
Arbor Scape Inc. is the area's premier landscape construction, tree service, trail-building, and excavation company. We are currently hiring full-time and part-time seasonal technicians to join our professional landscape teams. We are looking for motivated team players who enjoy the outdoors and working with their hands to build beautiful outdoor spaces. While relevant experience is a plus, we are happy to train curious and hard-working individuals who have a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
What You’ll Do:- Safety First: Maintain "safety above all else" as the core priority on every job site.
- Landscape Installation: Perform plant identification, selection, and professional installation including trees, shrubs, and flowers.
- Grounds Maintenance: Execute essential gardening tasks such as seeding, pruning, and basic plant health care (PHC).
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain various landscape equipment and vehicles.
- Team Coordination: Effectively communicate and coordinate tasks with other crew members to meet production goals.
- Site Management: Evaluate overall project performance and ensure the job site is clean and organized.
- Project Execution: Tackle a variety of daily tasks with minimal supervision, completing assignments efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and capable of performing demanding outdoor labor.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to interact with your team effectively.
- Teachable Nature: A willingness to learn new procedures and use approved methods for industry-standard labor and equipment.
- Experience (Preferred but not required): 1+ years of relevant or transferable experience is desired; we will train motivated folks.
- Advanced Skills (Pluses): Skills in landscape design, blueprint analysis, masonry, heavy-equipment operation, trailering, or holding a CDL/Pesticide Applicator's license are highly valued.
- Positive Attitude: Brings energy and a team-player mindset to the outdoor environment.
- Attention to Detail: Observant and diligent when following instructions and executing craftsmanship.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic and punctuality are essential for project success.
- Pay: $20 – $26 per hour, depending on experience.
- Schedule: Full-time or part-time seasonal work with weekly paychecks and overtime opportunities.
