To provide specialized technical assistance for scientific research projects designed to understand pathways that lead to lung fibrosis and lung cancer. Maintain and manage multiple transgenic mouse strains, including breeding and genotyping. Perform experiments using laboratory animals involving lung administration of compounds, lung perfusion, lung lavage, and isolation of DNA, RNA, and protein. Embed tissues in media and section tissues for stainings.
Conduct experiments with primary cells derived from healthy or diseased human lungs. Perform other routine laboratory experiments. Analyze, prepare support materials, and submit regulatory paperwork as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in biological science or related field and two years of experience in a laboratory setting. Ability to work with small animals is required.

Strong organizational skills and being a team player is essential.
Anticipated Pay Range: $24.50 - $29.00/hr
Special Conditions: A probationary period may be required. Contingent on continued funding. This position is ineligible for telework due to essential functions. Background check required for this position. Finalists may be subject to a criminal background check.
