Sales Support and Packaging Assistant

We’re a small, artisanal Vermont cheese company looking for a dependable, detail oriented person to help with sales support and order fulfillment. If you enjoy local food, keeping things organized, and don’t mind spending part of your day in a cool cheese room, you might be a great fit. Starts mid-late August.

• Cutting, wrapping, packaging cheese - and lots of it! Hand cut large wheels of cheese into retail wedges and run through our state-of-the-art thermoformer machine
• Weighing, wrapping, labeling, casing, and organizing cheese so everything goes out uniformly sized and looking sharp
• Packing cheese orders for wholesale accounts and online orders
• Pulling and preparing shipments for UPS and local deliveries
• Keeping track of inventory and restocking packing supplies
• Helping with simple sales tasks like entering orders or answering customer emails
• Pitching in with whatever comes up — we’re a small Vermont team, and everyone helps everyone

• Someone reliable, organized, and loves hands-on work
• Able to lift 40 lbs. and work in cool storage spaces- like a cheese cave!
• Good with repetitive tasks and keeping things neat and orderly
• Basic computer comfort (email, invoicing, simple order entry)
• Friendly, easy to work with, and willing to learn. Happy to work solo and with others.
• Takes initiative
• Bonus if you care about local farms, good food, and cheese

• $20/hr starting pay, regular increases with experience

15-20 hours a week (
** note: for full time work can be combined with Cheesemaker position listed separately). PTO after a year, flexible schedule and time off.
