We are seeking an Armed Court Security Supervisor to lead and support the Court Security Officer team in the daily operation of courthouse security. This position requires strong leadership, disciplined accountability, and a consistent commitment to the integrity of court operations.
This role requires strong judgment, disciplined leadership, and the ability to manage complex daily operations in a high‑integrity environment. Prior supervisory experience in court security or a similar setting is strongly preferred.
Pay Rate: $32.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Functions as a supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s); acts to ensure that all post orders are followed, that established rounds are completed, and that required reports are filed; notifies proper authorities and client in emergency situations.
- Coaches and disciplines personnel as appropriate; seeks advice from company management or designated representatives as appropriate; meets personally with employees and documents coaching and disciplinary actions.
- Trains Security Officers and other company personnel; reviews post orders and other details of assignments with subordinates.
- Assists in the submission of payroll and personnel information to the company as designated.
- In conjunction with company management or designated representatives ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions.
- Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required.
- Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.
- Meets with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to provide assurance that all security requirements are being met and to provide quality customer service.
- As assigned, in accordance with applicable company policies and procedures and in compliance with state and federal laws, carries out supervisory duties that can include some or all of the following: interviewing, orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and, making hiring and termination recommendations.
- May perform the duties of a Security Officer in accord with post orders and company policy.
- Court Security Team Leadership Provides direct supervision to the Court Security Officer team, ensuring professional conduct, readiness, and adherence to all court security standards.
- Post Assignment and Scheduling Oversees daily post assignments, shift scheduling, and coverage planning to maintain uninterrupted security operations throughout the courthouse.
- Primary Point of Contact Serves as the primary liaison between the Court Operations Manager and the security team for all day‑to‑day operational matters.
- Court Docket and Schedule Management Receives and distributes court dockets, calendars, and operational schedules to ensure proper staffing and preparedness for all proceedings.
- Operational Accountability Maintains accountability for officer performance, post compliance, and adherence to established procedures and security protocols.
- Preservation of Court Integrity Upholds the integrity of court operations by ensuring secure environments, professional interactions, and consistent enforcement of court security standards.
- Incident Oversight Reviews, guides, and supports officer response to incidents, ensuring accurate documentation and proper escalation when required.
- Daily Operational Readiness Ensures all posts, screening stations, and courtroom assignments are fully staffed, equipped, and functioning at the required standard.
