Casella Construction is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Lead Truck Technician to join our team. As a Senior Lead Truck Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy‑duty trucks and their components. The Casella Construction Maintenance team in Pittsford, VT shifts starts at 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Your expertise in air brakes, welding, fabrication, and advanced diagnostics will be crucial in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet.

- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy‑duty trucks, including chassis repairs, driveline repairs, and hydraulic system repairs
- Conduct air brake inspections and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Fabricate and weld components as needed for repairs and modifications
- Troubleshoot and repair advanced electrical and mechanical issues
- Use torches and other tools to cut, shape, and weld metal parts
- Operate scissor lifts safely during maintenance and repair tasks
- Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when working on equipment
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor hours
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Stay up-to‑date with industry trends and advancements in truck technology
- Obtain and maintain necessary certifications, including Class A CDL, Class B CDL, LNG (Cummins preferred), Paccar, Cummins, and Eaton/Fuller
- Training requirements, both in person and online, as needed or required
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a truck technician, 10 years of experience preferred
- Air Brake Certification and HD Truck Basics Certification
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques and certificate
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and suspension components
- Scissor lift training and LOTO certification
- Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues
- LNG certification (Cummins preferred) and additional manufacturer‑specific certifications (Paccar, Cummins, Eaton/Fuller)

- $90,000.00/yr.
This range reflects the base pay we reasonably expect to offer for this position at the time of posting, considering current market conditions and industry benchmarks.
Final and individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job‑related reasons.
