Location: Town of Vermont

As an Equipment Operator, you will play a vital role in supporting a variety of outdoor construction projects, operating and maintaining a range of heavy and light equipment. Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, tractors, skid steers, and trucks for landscaping, excavation, and trail-building projects
  • Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to ensure accurate and efficient equipment use according to project specifications
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
  • Coordinate with crew members to complete projects on schedule and to company standards
  • Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including OSHA standards, to maintain a safe work environment
  • Assist co-workers as needed to ensure successful project completion
  • Utilize or learn relevant computer and technology skills as required for the position
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience operating equipment in landscaping, construction, masonry, utility, or public works settings
  • Experience with a variety of equipment, including excavators, front-loaders, trucks, tractors, skid steers, and chippers
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
  • Mechanical aptitude for performing basic equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of safety practices and regulations related to equipment operation
  • Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail
  • Valid driver’s license
Compensation

$24 - $30 per hour
, depending on experience. Overtime opportunities available. Weekly paychecks.
