We are recruiting a Field Service Technician to support, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC and building automation systems across Northern Vermont.
About the RoleThis role is ideal for a technician who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and customer interaction, and who wants to grow into advanced commercial and controls‑based work.
Ideal candidates will live in or near Enosburg, St. Albans City, Newport, Lamoille County, Williston, or St. Johnsbury, VT, to ensure efficient response times and reasonable travel.
Major perk: on‑call rotation only once every ~15 weeks.
What You’ll Do HVAC & Mechanical Service- Perform service, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on all types of boilers, RTUs, MAUs, water heaters, air handlers, and HVAC systems.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and make reliable repairs.
- Complete clear service documentation and reports.
- Commission and support HVAC control systems and related software.
- Review alarms, trends, and system data to optimize performance.
- Assist with system configuration, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Provide professional on‑site and remote customer service.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and next steps clearly.
- Build strong, long‑term customer relationships.
- 3–5+ years of experience in HVAC, mechanical, or related field.
- Residential technicians encouraged to apply – commercial transition supported.
- Experience with oil, gas, or AC systems (training available).
- Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and control schematics.
- Comfortable using diagnostic tools, software, and field instrumentation.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, customer‑focused approach.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites.
- Extremely light on‑call rotation (~1 time every 15 weeks).
