Job Overview
Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) is seeking an Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) Needs Assessor in Vermont’s Montpelier, Barre, Berlin region. This hybrid, full‑time role requires conducting Supports Intensity Scale – Adult Version (SIS‑A) 2nd edition assessments and Vermont Supplemental Questions for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities- Conduct SIS‑A assessments in a variety of settings including home, agency offices, and virtual platforms.
- Complete assessments promptly, maintaining professional documentation and communication with clients, families, and service partners.
- Participate in AAIDD training and pass an Internal Interviewer Reliability and Qualification Review (IRQR) to qualify as a certified SIS assessor.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate assessment delivery.
- Perform ongoing client assessments and documentation in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Excellent oral and written communication with individuals, families, guardians, and providers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online data entry.
- Solid organization and time‑management skills.
- Strong understanding of person‑centered practices and federal/state/local regulations relevant to IDD services.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Sociology, or related human‑services field.
- Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Experience conducting individual assessments using behavioral or psychological testing principles.
- Prior experience with the Supports Intensity Scale assessment preferred.
- Experience with Home and Community Based Services waivers and/or Virginia waiver programs is desirable.
- Must have broadband internet access, a dedicated home workspace, and be able to conduct virtual assessments.
- Must be willing to travel, hold an active unrestricted state license, have reliable transportation, and valid auto insurance.
- Comfortable with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Salary range: $60,000 – $65,000. PCG offers medical, dental, 401(k), paid time off, parental leave, and bereavement leave, among other benefits.
