Part-Time Class A CDL Driver
As a Part-Time Driver, you will be a valued team member who operates small‑to‑large‑sized trucks with trailers for the safe transportation of liquid dairy ingredients and materials. On occasion you may be required to transport other company merchandise or equipment.
You will operate within an assigned but changing farm producer area and must maintain all valid commercial operator permits and licenses for interstate and intrastate commerce.
Shift & PayVariable hours, shifts from 6:00AM to 6:00PM (not full 12 hours). May have additional hours covering PTO. Weeks may have no driving hours but may be available for production work. Schedule may include holidays and weekends as needed.
Starting at $27.81 per hour.
Required Qualifications & Experiences- 18 years or older.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and possess basic mathematical skills.
- Current driver’s license.
- ClassA Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (or ability to attain) with tanker endorsement.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with team members and farm producers.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of commercial driving experience.
- Experience with dairy handling and transport, including quality and safety sampling.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment (product storage, staging, forklifts, etc.).
- Driving a forklift (basic operations: forwards, backwards, lifting, lowering boom, maneuvering in tight areas).
- Working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (pulling/placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically).
- Self‑reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision.
- Customer‑focused and able to work in a collaborative team.
- Ensure a safe working environment while performing assigned tasks.
- Follow all procedures, GMPs, Safety, Quality, and Sanitation plans.
- Identify and report non‑conforming product and equipment to Supervisor and the Quality Assurance Department.
- Be flexible in work performed and schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements.
Perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
Work across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include environmental dust.
Shift schedules may include days, nights, weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime.
