The Center for an Agricultural Economy (CAE), based in Hardwick, VT, seeks a Part‑time Delivery Driver for our CAE Farm Connex program. The driver will complete deliveries and pickups on weekly predetermined routes throughout Vermont and New Hampshire, safely transport local food, perform daily truck inspections, and communicate with dispatch. The program operates seven days a week, serving farms, food businesses, retail stores, schools, institutions, distribution centers and other food hubs.
Responsibilities- Complete deliveries and pickups on predetermined routes.
- Safely transport and deliver local food products.
- Conduct daily truck inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients.
- Operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Age 21 or older.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.
- Possess the critical faculties required to safely operate a commercial vehicle and be able to pass a CDL medical exam.
- Ability to interpret signage and communicate in written and spoken English.
A hiring team of CAE staff will lead the selection process, beginning with an initial phone interview, followed by an in‑person interview and tour of CAE facilities. CompensationHourly rate starting at $22.00.
