The town of Pomfret has an immediate opening for a motivated individual to join our road crew. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience operating excavators, graders, wheel loaders and roadside mowers. Previous highway maintenance, snowplowing and construction experience is preferred. A CDL class B is required. This is a full‑time position that requires a flexible schedule which may include overtime, nights and weekends.
Starting pay of $25‑$30 per hour is commensurate with experience and includes a full benefits package.
We are also seeking a part‑time road crew member primarily to mow roadsides with a John Deere tractor and boom mower. The candidate must be an experienced equipment operator. Pay is commensurate with experience.
