NMC is currently recruiting a Materials Management Tech, in Materials Management. The position is full-time (80 hours bi-weekly), generally 7:30a - 4:00p. Hiring Range: $16.63 - $26.93

The posted hiring range reflects the anticipated starting range for this position. Actual compensation is determined based on job-related factors including relevant experience, education, certifications, knowledge, skills, and internal equity considerations. Candidates whose qualifications exceed the minimum requirements may be considered for placement higher within the range, consistent with organizational compensation practices.

JOB SUMMARY: The Materials Management Tech receives and issues supplies as directed by Materials Management Manager, ships packages when appropriate, performs data entry in conjunction with receiving and issuing supplies.

PRE-REQUISITES:
  • Education :
    High school graduate preferred.
    Experience :
    Previous experience in stock and distribution procedures preferred.

    Computer experience required.
RELATIONSHIPS:
  • Reports To: Manager, Materials Management
  • Other Contacts: Hospital staff, vendors, providers and their staff, truck drivers
SCOPE:
  • Machinery or Equipment Used:
  • computer and basic office equipment, carts, totes, dolly, pallet jack, wheeled shelving unit, retractable utility knife, and labeler
  • Physical Demands:
  • Occasional lifting up to 100 lbs, sitting, squatting, stooping, bending, twisting, and crouching. Frequent reaching, standing, lifting up to50 lbs, Constant use of hands and manual dexterity and strong grip is necessary
  • Working Conditions:
  • Warehouse environment with occasional exposure to inclement weather when receiving supplies, occasional exposure to wet/slippery floors
  • Required Protective Equipment:
  • work gloves, protective equipment as situation dictates
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Supply Management
  • Receives incoming supplies and stores supplies appropriately rotating stock to minimize outdates
  • Distributes supplies ordered by departments
  • Follows up on back orders
  • Weekly collection and shipping of reprocessed materials
  • Storeroom Maintenance
  • Identifies changes in utilization patterns and collaborates with Purchasing Agent and Manager on min/max level changes or elimination of products
  • Organizes storeroom for efficient location of supplies
  • Keeps storeroom / dock neat and clean
  • Removes outdated products from storerooms
  • Electronic and paper documentation
  • Utilizes electronic system to update stock
  • Completes Blind Receiving Report
  • Updates receiving and stock issues daily
  • Matches receiving reports to purchase order
  • Maintains Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Performs filing, typing, ordering as needed
  • Assists Materials Management Inventory Specialist
  • Assists with weekly cycle counts
  • Assists with daily duties
  • Serves as back up support to Purchasing Inventory Specialist
