Overview

USU is currently hiring non-benefited teachers to provide clinical instruction to USU nursing students beginning August 1st 2026. ACA Variable Position, US Work Authorization is Required.

Responsibilities

* Plans, prepares, and follows an approved course of student with measurable objectives for each clinical course taught.

* Instructs, manages, and supervises individuals and groups in clinical and/or simulation lab settings.

* Evaluates learning.

* Maintains and submits student evaluations and records.

* Counsels students as needed.

* Assists nursing program in maintaining an effective program.

* Maintains safe clinical conditions.

* Travel to health care facilities in Salt Lake City and Tooele

* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a BSN degree; MSN degree or enrolled in a BSN or MSN program.

* Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience.

* Licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of Utah (or eligible to obtain Utah licensure).

* Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
