UMS Athletic Director

POSITION: PART-TIME ATHLETIC DIRECTOR ~ UINTAH MIDDLE SCHOOL

(Voucher position, no benefits)

MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.

Job Summary
:
Under the direction of the school administration, the Athletic Director is to manage the athletic program at Vernal Middle School.

• Set up gyms and/or fields for games
• Find clock operators
• Arrange supervisors
• Help Coaches with schedules
• Arrange and pay officials
• Communicate with Coaches
• Communicate athlete, coach, and parent concerns with the building administration
• Check to make sure the facilities are safe
• Be part of hiring committees for Middle School coaches
• Communicate and coordinate with school administration regarding athletics
• Other duties as assigned by administration

• High School Diploma required
• Successful coaching experience
• Applicant with a teaching certificate may receive preference
• Willing to work cooperatively and collaboratively with other teachers and staff

• At least three letters of recommendation, including at least one from a direct supervisor (does not have to be a current supervisor)
